It’s finished! I finally completed our knitted farm playmat. This took a lot of time and experimentation but it is finally complete. I was originally going to write a tutorial for this but it was such an unthinking process that I have no idea where to start. I didn’t go by a pattern, I just had to let go and let it happen. It’s not perfect but I think that’s part of its charm.
The mat is made using a variety of stitches. For example, the river and pathway used the stockinette stitch. The grass was created with a punch needle.
