Today we made bubbling mud potions with our friends frog and earthworm! These puppets are included in the Fox Unit Study Bundle or they can be purchased separately here. This fizzing sensory activity was so much fun. We also used this in our mud kitchen. The boys love making potions in their mud kitchen, this fizzy sensory play was the perfect addition. This is also a great science science experiment to introduce chemical reactions!
Fizzing Powder Ingredients
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 cup Baking Soda
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
a pinch of Turmeric for color
(Optional) Calendula Flowers for texture
Instructions
Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. You should be able to ball the powder together like a snowball.
Add Balsamic Vinegar to the powder to start the reaction! Your powder will magically turn from yellow to brown.
